Question What is considered blindness?

Have you ever wondered or considered what is blindness?
If you think blind are those people who can not see at all, you are wrong. Blindness is considered when vision is less than 6/60, which means what a normal person is supposed to see from 60 meters distance, if a person can not see that object from even 6 meters distance than he/she is considered blind (even if he/she can see the object from less than 6 meters e.g. 4 or 5 meters).

There are millions of blind people with defect or opacity in cornea, which can be cured by corneal transplantation. But most blindness are not due to corneal opacity and can not be treated to cure blindness. This group of blinds need rehabilitation.
